Observe New Mexico Elections is seeking detail-oriented people for the below roles related to nonpartisan observation of the 2025 local and municipal elections in New Mexico. Please note that these are temporary part-time contract positions.

Outreach Coordinator

Municipal Election Observation Coordinator

Observe New Mexico Elections is seeking organized and motivated individuals to coordinate recruitment and training of nonpartisan election observers and to support nonpartisan election observation in each of the following municipalities: Silver City, Hobbs, and Alamogordo. You must be registered to vote in the county in which your municipality is located. This is a temporary contract position. Learn more and apply here

Nonpartisan Election Observer

Observe New Mexico Elections is seeking individuals to observe elections in one of the following municipalities: Albuquerque, Alamogordo, Clayton, Gallup, Hobbs, Farmington, Las Cruces, Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Silver City, and Taos. You must be registered to vote in the county in which the municipality is located. Please complete the application to be an observer here

The mission of Observe New Mexico Elections is to increase transparency and trust in New Mexico’s elections by training and deploying nonpartisan election observers throughout the state. Observers will report on how election laws and procedures are followed, representing all voters without interfering in the electoral process. Findings from their observations will be compiled to assess the overall quality of elections in New Mexico.
